The Philippines and Vietnam have experienced remarkable economic growth in recent years, and exports of agricultural and livestock products to Japan have increased rapidly. However, various infectious diseases in these regions occupy the most important position in preventing the improvement of livestock productivity

東南アジア山間地では、自生する「ヤマチャ（山茶）」を意図的に残した「ヤマチャ景観」が形成され、地域史に大きく関与していることが報告されてきた
R6-7 1-3 "Transdisciplinary study on the function of “semi-naturalized tea” in the formation of the cultural and agricultural landscapes in the mountainous areas" (R6 AY2024)
In the mountainous areas of Southeast Asia, semi-naturalized tea trees (called “yama-cha” in Japanese) have been focused on their significant roles in rural livelihood and regional history.
In Japan, however, the cultural aspects of yama-cha have been emphasized; therefore, the function of yama-cha as an important cash resource in rural areas has been overlooked
R5-6 1-2「『東南アジア型発展径路』概念の深化に向けたFieldNote Archiveの可能性: インドネシア・南スラウェシを事例として」(令和5-6年度 AY2024 継続)
本年度の主な作業は次の３点である。(1)先行研究・公刊史資料およびFieldNote Archiveを利用して南スラウェシ州東南部の歴史的展開および研究状況を整理し、研究手引書を作成する
R5-6 1-2 "The Potential of the FieldNote Archive for Deepening the Concept of "Southeast Asian development path": Taking an Example from South Sulawesi, Indonesia" (R5-6 AY2024)
The main tasks for this academic year are as follows:
1. Write about research trends and the history of the southern and eastern parts of South Sulawesi Province, Indonesia, using previous research, published historical materials, and the FieldNote Archive (a digital world map). Prepare a research guide based on this information.
2. Compile the ideas of several Japanese researchers who have written books on research methodologies for Southeast Asian area studies.
3. Based on the results of tasks (1) and (2) above, present new viewpoints and analysis items to deepen the concept of a "Southeast Asian development path."
4. Upload new materials to the FieldNote Archive and submit effective proposals for creating a database of previous research in the near future.
R5-6 1-3「メコンデルタにおける農業の持続可能性評価に資するための水循環機構の把握手法の検討」(令和5-6年度 AY2024 継続)
本研究はメコンデルタ南西端に位置するベトナムCa Mau省内を対象地域とし、現地調査とデジタルデータ（標高モデル、衛星画像）の統合によって、①現地の農業の持続可能性評価に資するために土地利用（農地の利用形態、分布）、微地形（土地の起伏）、水循環機構（水路網を中心とする地表水の流れのあり方）の関係の現状を明らかにするとともに
R5-6 1-3 "Study on the development of evaluation method of the water cycle to contribute to the sustainability assessment of agriculture in the Mekong Delta" (R5-6 AY2024)
This study focuses on the correlations between agriculture and the water environment in Ca Mau Province, Vietnam, located at the southwestern end of the Mekong Delta. This study will (1) integrate the results of field surveys and digital data (digital topography model, satellite images) in the study area to clarify the current status of the relationship among land use (use pattern and distribution of agricultural land), microtopography (land undulations), and water cycle mechanism (e.g. waterway networks) to contribute to the evaluation of the sustainability of local agriculture, and (2) examine effective analysis methods of the digital data for the efficient understanding of microtopography and water cycle mechanism in the vast delta
R5-6 1-4「東〜東南アジアにおける世界農業遺産の推進に資するプラットフォームの構築」(令和5-6年度 AY2024 継続)
本研究の目的は、世界農業遺産（Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems: GIAHS）認定地域の理解や推進支援にむけた異分野の研究者と実務家による協働と対話に基づき、①GIAHSになるような農業システムが形成されるに至った歴史的な機序を包括的に理解するとともに、②農業システムの理解に関わる各研究分野や実務の特性を自己再帰的に考察することにある。そのために自然科学と人文・社会科学を架橋した異分野からなるアカデミアとGIAHS推進に関わってきた実務家からなる超域的で国際的なプラットフォームを組織する
R5-6 1-4 "Construction of a platform to promote the GIAHS program in East-Southeast Asia" (R5-6 AY2024)
The objective of this study is twofold: firstly, to gain a comprehensive understanding of the historical mechanisms that led to the formation of agricultural systems that would become GIAHS, based on collaboration and dialogue between researchers and practitioners from different fields to better understand and support the promotion of Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems (GIAHS) areas; and secondly, to examine the characteristics of each research field and practice related to the understanding of agricultural systems in a self-reflective manner

本研究は、ラオス・シェンクワンの養蜂者とミツバチとの相互関係を事例に、国際援助による支援を受ける養蜂の実践を技術・道具の変容への着目から考察し、人間と自然の共生に向けた新たな視座を提示するものである
